Entry Requirements

To enroll in the PMSE course, participants should have:

• Workplace Literacy: Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 3 and above.
• Numeracy Skills: Proficiency in manipulating numbers at a level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level 3 and above.

Course Overview and Content

By the end of the course, participants will be proficient in erecting and dismantling metal scaffolds according to legislative guidelines. The course includes the following modules:

• Introduction to Metal Scaffolding
• Introduction to Ties and Braces
• Introduction to Static and Mobile Towers
• Erection and Dismantling of Scaffolds

Duration and Medium of Instruction

• Course Duration: 38 hours, which includes 8 hours of assessment.
• Languages Available: English, Tamil, Bengali, Mandarin, Burmese, Malay, Hindi, and Thai.

Teaching Methodology

We employ a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face classroom teaching with e-learning components. Participants can access the Eversafe Academy e-learning platform for self-study, which includes safety signage and self-assessment MCQs.

Our classrooms are ergonomically designed, air-conditioned, and equipped with whiteboards, audio/video equipment, and free Wi-Fi to provide a comfortable learning environment.

• Maximum Class Size: 18 participants

Assessment Details

The assessment consists of:

• Written Test (WT): 1 hour, 30 multiple-choice questions, with a passing mark of 60%.
• Practical Performance (PP): 7 hours, assessed as Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC). A 100% pass rate is required for the practical assessment.

Participants must pass both parts to receive the certification.

SkillsFuture Credit (SFC)

Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit for this course. Visit the SkillsFuture Credit website to find and register for eligible courses.

UTAP Funding
