Course Overview

The FWSC training program focuses on providing participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to ensure safety during hot work activities. This includes understanding safety protocols, fire prevention strategies, and rapid response to fire hazards. By the end of the course, participants will be well-prepared to contribute to the overall safety of the work environment.

Course Content

Throughout the course, participants will cover a range of crucial topics, including:

• Understanding the Role of a Fire Watcher
• Identification of Various Hot Work Categories
• Fundamental Principles and Characteristics of Fire
• Categorization of Fires Based on Extinguishing Agents
• Proficiency in Employing Fire Extinguishers for Initial Fire Suppression
• Appropriate Measures for Responding to Fire Incidents (within the CERT framework)
• Implementation of Effective Fire Prevention Strategies

Course Duration and Format

The FWSC spans 4 hours, consisting of a 30-minute practical demonstration segment and a 30-minute written assessment session. Instruction is conducted in English through a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face classroom training with practical demonstrations.

Learning Environment and Class Size

Our classrooms provide an optimal learning environment and practical set up, accommodating a maximum of 20 participants. Each candidate receives personalized attention, ensuring effective learning outcomes.

Assessment and Certification

Participants undergo a closed-book written assessment lasting 1 hour, comprising 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 short answer questions. To pass, participants must achieve an overall score of 70%. Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, participants receive a certificate of achievement endorsed by Eversafe Academy Ltd. E-certificates are also available for added convenience.
