Upon completion of this unit, learners will have the knowledge and skills to measure and assess contaminants in the workplace. This includes:

• Identifying sources of hazardous substances.

• Being recognized as ‘competent persons’ for hazardous substances control by the Ministry of Manpower.
• Fulfilling duties as hazardous substances licence and permit holders as required by the National Environment Agency.
