CERT REFRESHER TRAINING (CERT – Tier 2 & 3)
For whom:
The CERT Refresher Training (CERT – Tier 2 & 3) is intended for individuals who have previously completed the corresponding CERT (Company Emergency Response Team) courses. This includes members who are part of Tier 2 and Tier 3 response teams within their organizations. The refresher training is specifically designed to help these trained responders maintain their readiness, refresh essential emergency response knowledge and skills, and stay up to date with the latest procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Entry Requirement:
- To enrol in the CERT Refresher Training (CERT – Tier 2 & 3), participants must meet the following criteria: Completed Initial CERT Training:
Participants must have successfully completed the relevant Tier 2 or Tier 3 CERT course prior to attending the refresher. Proof of certification may be required upon registration.
Active CERT Member:
The course is intended for personnel who are currently appointed as part of their organization’s Company Emergency Response Team and are actively involved in emergency preparedness and response activities.
Physically Fit for Practical Activities:
As the course includes hands-on firefighting drills, equipment handling, and scenario-based exercises, participants should be medically and physically fit to perform practical tasks, including the use of SCBA and other emergency equipment.
Course Overview:
CERT Refresher Training (CERT – Tier 2 & 3) course is designed for existing Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) members to refresh their knowledge and practical skills, ensuring a confident and effective response during emergencies. It serves to reinforce critical competencies aligned with SCDF regulations and organizational emergency response protocols.
Course Content
- Upon completion of the CERT Refresher Course, participants will know about:
• Legal Requirement of CERT
• Responsibility of CERT members, evacuation procedures.
• What is fire and types of fire.
• Fire fighting method, Extinguish fire using fire extinguisher and hose reels, hose management, Y – breaching, nozzle etc.
• Practical activity for using of firefighting equipment, including SCBA and casualty management & first aid.
• Perform a scenario base fire fighting at practical ground.

Practical Assessment
Participants must demonstrate competency in key CERT practical skills including firefighting equipment usage, SCBA handling, casualty management, and response to simulated emergency scenarios.
Passing Criteria: 100% competency

- Based on the successful completion of the course and assessment, a certificate of achievement endorsed by Eversafe Academy Pte. Ltd.,
