WPN Preparatory Course (Numeracy)
For whom:
WPN Preparatory Course (Numeracy) is designed for individuals preparing for the British Council Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Assessment who wish to improve their mathematical competencies and skills in everyday workplace operations and situations.
Entry Requirement:
- Basic numeracy knowledge.
Course Overview:
- A focused 8-hour preparatory workshop to equip students with the skills to confidently approach numerical problems, covering both non-calculator and calculator-based tasks.
Course Content
- Part 1 (No Calculator): Practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, calculating percentages, and interpreting simple line graphs and pie charts.
- Part 2 (Calculator): Practice applying operations, using and manipulating formulas (e.g., area, volume, Pythagorean Theorem)
- Integrated Practice
- Reflection & Final Q&A
Course Duration:
- 8 Hours
Medium of Instruction: English
Teaching Methodology: Blended learning – Classroom face-to-face theory and problem-solving practice using case studies and mathematical formulas.
